If you would like to volunteer for MRATHS we will be pleased to have you. To expand our public benefit, we need volunteers. Every contribution no matter how small takes us forward and increases what we can offer.

Archive

  • Entering names into database for photographic collection
  • Report scanning (MRATHS) has its own scanner
  • Identifying hardware and its relevance in our collection
  • Capturing Oral memories and need volunteers to both share their own stories and those of TRE veterans and the later organisations.
  • Audit negatives and determine those still needing to be scanned
  • Cataloguing videos
  • Acquire documents from The National Archives
  • Type up historic organisation charts and photo registers
  • Photograph wartime Malvern gazettes and convert to searchable pdfs
  • Research e.g. digital communications, lasers, packet switching, CNR etc.
  • Identifying significant dates (e.g. HM QE2 1st email) & preparing supporting material
  • Idetifying inventions at Malvern particulalry world leading inventions

Information Systems

  • Improve file storage on Microsoft Teams
  • Entering Reports into Wikindx
  • Removing Duplicates from photographic collection
  • Uploading photographs to Piwigo

Outreach

  • Building small activities for Primary Education Key Stage 2 Yrs 4&5
  • Monitoring the internet and facilitating more accurate MRATHS entries
  • Updating Technology Station displays
  • Volunteering for the TTS
  • Editing Malvern Connections
  • Communications officer, website, press etc.
  • Create and add material to the MRATHS website
