Home Education Group, Ledbury

A new venture for MRATHS – visiting a home education group!  Amanda Lambourne kindly invited MRATHS’ David Whitaker and John Gillham to speak with a group of educated students from across the three counties in Ledbury’s Burgage Hall.  This historic hall is in the centre of town but can only be accessed via a cobbled lane – which may have contribute to the failure of one of the infrared cameras as it was transported from the car!  This, however, did not detract from a pleasant afternoon where students and parents alike were interested to hear the history and impact of scientists, engineers and mathematicians from Malvern as well as learn about Infrared technology.

There were perceptive questions from the children (and their parents) who declared they had learnt a lot and had fun as well!
