14th March 2018 – AGM

Our AGM was well attended as the number of members has increased this year and we now have more than 100.  Hugh Williams chaired and, as customary, showed us a mystery box as well as intriguing site building plans from the 1940s.

We sadly observed the passing of Ken Atkinson, George German, and Philip Woodward with Hugh, Martin Hutchinson and David Whitaker (respectively) recounting a few personal words.

The AGM accepted the minutes and re-elected the committee with year highlights from John Gillham and finance from David Williamson.  Good progress has been made in developing the new constitution for Chartered Incorporated Organisation and this will be proposed to the membership for acceptance at a future meeting. Updates were provided including Malvern Museum and Three Counties Show as well as the exciting programme of talks for 2018, future events and opportunities (volunteers welcome).  Key goals for 2018 were the change of status to Chartered Incorporated Organisation and a high level catalogue of the archive.

Fascinating, high quality films were then shown: “Sensors of Purpose (RSRE)” and the Croome Court video produced by Dennis Williams before attendees enjoyed refreshments and informal discussions.
